Brittney & Tyler's Winter Wonderland

Brittney & Tyler's Winter Session wasn't quite as "wintery" as I had hoped, but what can you do in Tennesee? No snowmaker here, so we just made do with what we had--and I think we had some great results.
As I stated in their sneak peek post, we headed to Cannonsburg first. Can you imagine my excitement when I saw this great sleigh?!

After the last session's great bridge shot, I decided we need to do a bridge picture at each season's session!

After Cannonsburg, we went to Ms. Cheri's (Brittney's mom) friend's house. It was a beautiful home-we were so thankful that she let us invade it for a little while!
This one is one of my favorites.

We had great plans of doing some in front of the fireplace, but the gas fireplace was not interested in cooperating. I think the tree ones turned out great, though.

The boys were getting hungry, so we ate some yummy Penn Station then went to the square to wander around.

Brittney & Tyler, I hope you enjoy your slideshow. I had a great time and am looking forward to our spring and summer sessions and your WEDDING! :)

Winter Sneak Peek

Last Friday, Wesley and I went with Brittney and Tyler and Brittney's mom, Ms. Cheri, to shoot their winter engagement session. We would have loved to have some snow, but I guess there's no chance of that in Middle Tennessee! We joked that we should go to Colorado for this session, but somehow our wallets didn't quite allow it. Instead, we went to Cannonsburg for the first part of the session then headed to some more wintery areas in Murfreesboro. Those images will come later. For today, I wanted to share a few of my favorites from the beginning. Enjoy these as a sneak peek!

This is my FAVORITE.

Christmas Session

This image was from the Lucich Family's Christmas Session last year.
Now, check out this family a year later.

Dave & Christy (& Mikey) are good friends of ours in Murfreesboro. We had a great time during our session last Thursday despite the migraine I had and a little boy who didn't take a good nap that day. Mikey was so good during the session and had so much fun!
I love the Polar Express pictures and think this should be a family tradition each year.

During this set, I was holding my camera with one hand and Mikey's play cell phone with the other. The little cell phone talked and said things like, "Hello! What are you doing?" When it said, "Are you having fun?", Mikey said "yeah!" It was precious!

We had to break out the great wooden train. After this, Mikey tried pushing it on the carpet then finally picked it up and ran to the kitchen and pushed it on there. I'm sure he thought we were nuts for having him play with a rolling toy on carpet.

Dave & Christy are very musical-Dave's the band director at Cascade High School. Mikey loves to play the piano--it's so funny because he never banged on it like most kids would. He tapped each key with one finger. When he got down, he went to the end he couldn't reach from the bench and tapped one key and looked at us like that was his ending!

I know boys aren't supposed to be pretty, but isn't he SO pretty?!

Mikey likes to walk around while wearing one of Dave's shoes.

We ended our session with a rousing game of "Throw the ball down the stairs to 'Nese' and laugh when she can't throw it back to you very well."

Dave, Christy, and Mikey, thanks for being such great friends! We love and miss you guys!
Enjoy your slideshow!

Top Secret

These pictures have been TOP SECRET until Christmas Day! Jana and I took these of Maggie on Thanksgiving weekend and liked them so much she asked me to not show the grandparents. Maggie gave several of these in frames out as her Christmas gifts this year. I am so glad that I can share these now. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

First, we re-did the white dress and antique fainting couch. We were hoping to get a few more happier ones while the dress still fit.
Last time, Maggie was a little fussy and this time Maggie was perfectly content. She never really smiled a lot in these, but I think she looks like a peaceful little angel baby.

Then, we took these of Maggie in the overalls that her Papa (Wesley's daddy) wore when he was a baby. How adorable is she?!

We had to have a "do rag" just for kicks!

Fun times with Momma and Daddy!

I know I'm a tad bit partial, but Miss Maggie is the cutest baby in the entire world! We have had so much fun with her this Christmas--and we are still in Cleveland and I have gotten to spend two days straight with this girl!

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas with their loved ones. We had a super busy one, but it may have been the best yet! I'll have pictures of our Christmas festivities-including my AMAZING new Canon 40D camera!!!!!-and sweet Maggie's first Christmas. For now, please enjoy a sneak peek of Dave, Christy, and Mikey's Christmas session last week.

As I said, stay tuned for more-I also had two other sessions this weekend-Brittney & Tyler's Winter Session and the Pregel Family Session. I hope to have more uploaded later this week!

Introducing Sophia Lynn

Andrew and Casey received a fabulous Skelton Photography gift certificate as a baby gift from our sweet friend Anna.
When I arrived at their house for their session, they were getting Miss Sophia ready.

While I waited, I saw this.....amazing how a baby changes your life, huh?
We headed outside before it got dark to take a couple of shots.
Then, we went inside and took some in front of the Christmas tree.
These next two are some of my favorites from the session.
I LOVE the Santa dress. ADORABLE!

Then, we headed into Sophia's BEAUTIFUL nursery.
I LOVE Sophia's nursery. Casey did a fabulous job (and Andrew too, I'm sure)!
Someone made this pretty pink dress for Sophia, so we had to have her picture made in it before she outgrew it.

Casey's dad is the basketball coach at Penn State, so she had to have some portraits made in her Penn State outfit as well. Maybe we can do UT outfits next time. :)

And we enjoyed some wonderful Goodnight Moon.
Andrew and Casey, thank you so much for letting me photograph your sweet baby girl. And Anna, thanks for getting this family a gift certificate! (Everyone, see how happy they are that they got a gift certificate? Don't you want YOUR loved ones to be this happy?!)
Andrew, Casey, and Sophia enjoy your slideshow! I love the song Casey chose for the slideshow-I think it should be every baby girl's first song.

Tyson's Christmas Session

We went to Cleveland this weekend so I could do a session with Tyson. Tyson's mom, Amanda, works with Leighann and loved their pictures, so she gave me a call.
I have never seen a child SO excited to have his picture made. Tyson was literally shaking with excitement. It was hilarious. He was so good and it went by so quickly. These are the excited faces!

After we got some of Tyson by the tree, his grandmother brought his puppy, Bo, over for a few shots. This series of shots makes me laugh so hard! It's kinda hard to get the picture perfect shot with an excited 3 year old and an excited puppy! I think these are priceless, though.

Tyson had Rudolph out for some special pictures too.

I LOVE these pjs!

Tyson loves trains and the Polar Express, so Amanda chose this song from the movie for his slideshow. Be sure to check out Tyson's train in the slideshow.
Enjoy!
